It truly does pay to search and apply for scholarships! There are tons of scholarships to search on the internet. Below are just a few to help get you started. Remember, you should never pay to apply for a scholarship.
Please click the links below to learn more about what local scholarships you qualify for. Then click the scholarship application link to complete the form. You will need to open it up in Kami. Please type out the application and print it. Local scholarship deadline is March 12, 2021 (the Friday before Spring Break). Make sure to download the application and save the scholarship form before typing any information on it. Once completed, print it out and paperclip all required documents.

There are two Sterling High School scholarships on the South Central Community Foundation website. The scholarship deadline for these are March 15th. If you would like to apply for the Jacob Oden Scholarship or Tony Renollet Scholarship, please click this link: South Central Foundation Scholarships
RUDD Foundation Scholarship – The Rudd Scholarship is a competitive, 4-year award designed to pay any remaining costs associated with tuition and fees, books and supplies, and room and board after accounting for all other grants, scholarships and financial awards. Application Deadline is: December 12, 2020.
- Must have a 3.0 cumulative GPA.
- Must complete the FAFSA and be Pell-eligible.
- Enroll full-time in the Fall 2020.
- Must be admitted and will attend either Emporia State, Fort Hays State, or Wichita State University.

Hagan Scholarship – the Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship. The scholarship is designed to help recipients graduate college debt free. Recipients must graduate from a public high school located in a county in the United States having fewer than 50,000 residents. The scholarship provides up to $6,000 each semester for up to 8 consecutive semesters. Application Deadline: November 15, 2020.
- Must have a 3.75 GPA or higher.
- Must score 24 or higher on the ACT.
- Must complete the FAFSA and EFC must be less than $6,500.
